Explore one of the most biodiverse aquatic systems in the United States on this fun and informative cruise of the Apalachicola River basin!
Quick Details
Grab your lunch from a local eatery and come aboard the Starfish Enterprise to learn about the history of Apalachicola’s working waterfront. Hear stories about local people and their lives as well as the ups and downs of this river town, from its birth as a cotton depot in the early 19th century to its present role as a part of Historic Old Florida.
See shrimp boats, oyster boats, snapper/grouper boats, as well as the land-bound facilities that support them on our working waterfront. Perhaps a manatee or two may surface, or a gator might slip quietly beneath the waters of Scipio Creek.
This tour provides a great taste of Apalachicola, which may leave you wanting more. Bring refreshments and beverages for enjoyment aboard.
Private cruises are also available! Select a private cruise at checkout to make this experience private for just you and your group!
The Starfish Enterprise is a 36′ catamaran powered by twin Yamaha 115 hp, low emission 4 stroke outboards, and is a US Coast Guard inspected vessel. The Certificate of Inspection provides for a total of 40 passengers and two crew. The captain must possess a USCG Master’s License and must be assisted by a mate when seven or more passengers are aboard and underway. The captain and mate are required to be members of a Maritime Consortium which administers a drug prevention program similar to the US DOT program used for large equipment operators.
