Relax with a lovely cruise and fine dining under a full moon on our romantic excursion in Apalachicola River and Bay!
Quick Details
Get back to nature aboard the Starfish Enterprise on this educational trip that explores the diversity of life in the river and estuary. The Apalachicola River basin is one of the most biodiverse, productive, and economically important aquatic systems in the United States.
Marsh grasses, swamp lilies, wildflowers, and cypress trees draped with Spanish moss provide a scenic backdrop for herons fishing, ospreys feeding their young, and alligators slipping under the surface of the water. Dolphins fishing for mullet also frequent the river.
This is our primary tour route among the four variations of estuary tours. It goes up the main river to the Four Tree Cutoff that takes us to the Little St. Marks River, which winds its way through the labyrinth of the inner river delta on its way to connect with the East River and then back to the main Apalachicola River as it returns to Museum docks. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, drinks, or snacks to enjoy on the cruise.
Private tours are also available! Select a private cruise at checkout to make this experience private for just you and your group!
The Starfish Enterprise is a 36′ catamaran powered by twin Yamaha 115 hp, low emission 4 stroke outboards, and is a US Coast Guard inspected vessel. The Certificate of Inspection provides for a total of 40 passengers and two crew. The captain must possess a USCG Master’s License and must be assisted by a mate when seven or more passengers are aboard and underway. The captain and mate are required to be members of a Maritime Consortium which administers a drug prevention program similar to the US DOT program used for large equipment operators.
Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the departure time.
